Update

Our product is constantly improving so each new version has a number of feature enhancements as well as issues resolved.

We spend a lot of time making sure that upgrades are painless however because of the large variety of configurations and environments, issues may occur. We recommend that you comply with the following best practice guidelines to minimize the risk of data loss and interruption of service.

Keep a backup copy

Always read the release notes

Always keep a backup copy to roll back to if the upgrade runs into problems. Read instructions on how to backup and restore

Be advised that we do not accept any liability for loss of data in case you don't have a valid backup to roll back to the previous version.

Always do one upgrade at a time and at the end check that everything works before running another update. Do not try to apply several upgrades one after the other without checking if the system is running at each step.

Patch

Between a release and another we make available patches to correct errors, security holes or improve the performances.

We spend a lot of time making sure that software is error free, however because of the large variety of configurations and environments we cannot assure total absence of issues, for this reason we prepare patches to correct those issues that our customers report us.
