Dropbox

LogicalDOC integration with Dropbox allows you to import and export documents and folders between both applications.

Authorization

The first time you import or export with LogicalDOC, an authorization wizard will appear to guide you through the process. This step will only be required once, as your authorization credentials will be automatically saved.

Once you have accessed Dropbox via the link provided, click Allow to connect LogicalDOC to your Dropbox account. Please note that you may have to log in first. Next, copy the Dropbox authorization code, and paste it into the authorization code field in LogicalDOC. Press Submit.

You will receive a message confirming your account authorization. You will not need to authorize your account again.

Export

Select the folder or document(s) that you wish to export. Open the Tools menu, and select Export to Dropbox  (Tools->Dropbox->Export to Dropbox).

A popup message will appear asking you to confirm. Click Yes.

Next, choose the remote Dropbox folder you wish to export your files to. Click Select.

Wait for the export process to complete.

Import

Select the folder in LogicalDOC that you wish to import into. Open the Tools menu, and select Import from Dropbox (Tools->Dropbox->Import from Dropbox).

Select the items that you wish to import from your Dropbox account. You can select multiple items.

Once you have chosen, press Select. A popup message will appear asking you to confirm. Click Yes. When the documents have been imported successfully, you will receive a notification.


 

 

ShareFile

LogicalDOC integration with ShareFile allows you to import and export documents and folders between both applications.

Account

When you setup your ShareFile account you have to configure accordingly your LogicalDOC's profile. Open the menu Tools → ShareFile → Account and fill the form with your data.

Confirm with Save and now you are ready to use your ShareFile in LogicalDOC.

Export

Select the folder or document(s) that you wish to export. Open the Tools menu and select Export to ShareFile (Tools → ShareFile → Export to ShareFile).

Next, choose the remote ShareFile folder you wish to export your files to. Click Select.

A popup message will appear asking you to confirm. Click Yes.

Wait for the export process to complete.

Import

Select the folder in LogicalDOC that you wish to import into. Open the Tools menu and select Import from ShareFile (Tools → ShareFile → Import from ShareFile).

Select the items that you wish to import from your ShareFile account. You can select multiple items.

Configuring Google Drive API access in LogicalDOC

1. Visit the Google API console, and create a new project

To allow LogicalDOC to have access to your Google Drive account, click on the link to your API console to take you to Google; then click on the “Create project…” link.

Then fill in this form (just use whatever Project ID Google suggests – it does not matter)…

2. Activate the Drive API

Enable the Google Drive API – follow the link to enable a new API. You might need to first follow the “APIs and Auth” link under the “APIs” menu to find the right button:

Find ‘Drive API’ on the list of services:

Enable it, so that it becomes an active service:

3. Set up a product name and email address

You will also need to set up something in “APIs & auth -> Consent Screen” at this point.

Specifically, you will need to enter an application name and an email address.

4. Set up API access credentials (OAuth)

Move to the ‘APIs and auth’ tab (from the left menu), and choose the option ‘Credentials”; then click on ‘Create New Client ID':

Next, enter some details:

The "Application type" must be “Web Application”
In “Authorized redirect URI” put the URL of your LogicalDOC followed by the /gdrive/oauth2callback suffix, you can put several URLs here if you reach LogicalDOC in different ways.
No need to put anything in “Authorized JavaScript origins"

You will then be shown your client ID and secret.

5. Go back to LogicalDOC, and enter the details

Open the menu Tools → Google Drive → Authorize  and paste the client ID and secret.

Then press on Authorize and you’re done.

 

Google Drive

Google Drive / Google Docs is a free online Google application that allows you to create and edit documents on the web without the need of any word processing software. Google Drive integration appears in LogicalDOC as an entry in the Tools menu. From the submenu, you can choose to edit text documents, calculation sheets, and presentations, create new documents, or import and export documents between LogicalDOC and Google Drive.

The first time you want to use Google Drive from within LogicalDOC, you have to properly configure the Google Drive API in your Google account, please read the guide Configuring Google Drive API

Authorize

Anytime you want to start working with Google Drive, remember to open the menu Tools → Google Drive → Authorize 

The form shows your Client ID and secret values, click Authorize.

Edit a Document

Select the document you wish to edit, and choose Edit document (Tools → Google Drive → Edit document). The document will open in the editor allowing you to modify its contents.

While you are editing a file in LogicalDOC the document is locked.

There are three buttons on the editor’s toolbar:

Close: closes the editor, the document remains locked

Cancel: closes the editor, the document is unlocked in LogicalDOC

Checkin: the document is modified, and a new version is saved to LogicalDOC

Create a new Document

Select Create document (Tools Google Drive Create document) to open a blank document to modify.

Import from Google Drive

Click on Import from Google Drive (Tools Google Drive Import from Google Drive). Using the finder, browse for and select the files you wish to import.

Export to Google Drive

Select the documents you wish to export. Click on Export to Google Drive (Tools Google DriveExport to Google Drive).

Zoho Docs

Zoho Docs is a free online application that allows you to create and edit documents on the web without the need of any word processing software. Zoho Docs integration appears in LogicalDOC as an entry in the Tools menu. From the submenu, you can choose to edit text documents, calculation sheets, and presentations, or import and export documents between LogicalDOC and Zoho.

The first time you want to use Zoho from within LogicalDOC, you have to properly configure the Zoho API in your Zoho account, please read the guide Configuring Zoho API

Authorize

First thing you have to do if want to start working with Zoho is to authorize LogicalDOC in Tools → Zoho → Settings

In the form put your Authorization Token and click Save.

Edit a Document

Select the document you wish to edit, and choose Edit document (Tools → Zoho → Edit document). A new popup window appears.

You have to click in the provided link to open the Zoho editor in another tab, once you have finished your editing, just come here again and click Checkin to confirm your modifications. While you are editing a file in Zoho, the document is locked.

Import from Zoho

Click on Import from Zoho (Tools Zoho Import from Zoho). Using the browser select the files folders you wish to import, then click Select.

Export to Zoho

Select the documents you wish to export. Click on Export to Zoho  (Tools Zoho Export to Zoho).
